Sales Policy & Agreement
*PLEASE BE SURE TO READ OUR SALES POLICY & AGREEMENT BEFORE INQUIRING ABOUT A BUNNY. IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED A BUNNY, OR ONE HAS BEEN CLAIMED BY YOU, IT WILL BE ASSUMED THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO ALL TERMS STATED BELOW.
First of all, thank you for choosing Top Notch Lops! We love each and every bunny and strive to provide the best upbringing of every one, whether they are staying here with us or going to live elsewhere.
When inquiring, please specify if you are interested in buying a bunny to show, breed, or just looking for a wonderful pet so I can better direct you to the right bunny as I breed both vienna marked rabbits and clean line show bunnies and not all are showable. However, all are purebred and can come with their pedigree unless sold as pet then they will come with a birth certificate.
If a rabbit is sold as showable that means it is free of any disqualifications at the time of the sale and can be shown. There is no guarantee of placement with any showable bunny as well as final weight as an adult. I check all bunnies to the best of my ability, but it is your responsibility to evaluate your bunny yourself before taking it home.
At this time most babies are claimed on a FCFS basis, however if you are looking for something specific, please let me know as I do have a wait list for certain rabbits. Available babies will be posted on the website and my Facebook page generally around 6-8 weeks old and will be up for claiming and a deposit may be placed to hold a specific one until they are old enough to go. I do often times hold back rabbits from my show stock for longer to better evaluate type before letting them go. This is generally at least until 10-12 weeks old or older if I have the space.
Bunnies are not allowed to go home until 8 weeks of age, No Exceptions. You will be informed of their DOB and when they will be ready to go, so please plan accordingly. Pickup needs to be within 7 days of a deposit being placed or before they turn 9 weeks old unless otherwise agreed upon ahead of time. If for some reason you do not pick up your rabbit, or you stop responding to my messages you will forfeit your deposit and I will relist your rabbit. If pickup cannot happen within the week, please let me know and I can offer boarding if I have the space for $10/week if they can share a cage or $15/week if their own cage is necessary (at my discretion.)
I do use a few trusted rabbit transporters, but this has to be ok'd and approved by me first. I also can bring rabbits to any shows I am attending otherwise they must be picked up at my home in Big Lake. I can help direct you to transporters, but it is your responsibility to set up and pay for transport services. This is not included in the purchase price of the bunny. Some transports that I frequently work with are Hippity Hop Express, KD Farms Transport and Up North Pet Taxi. Once a rabbit is on transport it is the responsibility of the transport company. All animals are in good health when leaving my possession.
Once you have found a bunny that has caught your eye a 50% non-refundble deposit is required to hold your bunny until they are ready to go to their new home. I will not hold a bunny without a deposit. The remaining payment is due at pickup. If you place a deposit and change your mind your deposit will not be refunded. I accept paypal and venmo however please make sure you send through as the "friends & family" option only and not as goods & services.
All bunnies have been sexed multiple times and to the best of my knowledge all genders are correct, but it is your responsibility to check for yourself before leaving my possession. If a rabbit were to end up not being the sex that we thought it to be, no refunds will be given however if there is another available in the gender you are wanting you may transfer your deposit to that one or I can put you on the wait list for a future litter. This is the only time a transfer of deposit is accepted.
All rabbits are healthy to the best of my knowledge when leaving my rabbitry. I will never sell a sick bunny, however I am not responsible once a rabbit leaves my possession as I am not there to see how they have been cared for or what they could have been exposed to after they leave. If something were to happen to your rabbit while in my care I can either refund your deposit or else you may pick another bunny if one is available.
I reserve the right to refuse or cancel a sale at any time, for any reason, which if any deposits have been made they will be refunded immediately.
To protect the health & safety of my rabbits I maintain a closed rabbitry which means that I do not accept any visitors in to see the bunnies at any time. I do my best to send pictures and or videos and information so you can best make your decision when selecting a bunny.
If a rabbit is sold as pet quality or pet only and you did not receive their pedigree that means you have zero breeding rights, and that rabbit is not to be breed. No exceptions. Pet quality animals will come with a basic birth certificate instead.
I do not spay or neuter my rabbits. If you choose to do so, the responsibility, cost & decision is up to you. This cost is above and beyond the purchase price of the rabbit. Also, there is no guarantee if you choose to try and bond your new bunny with another that this will ensure it to be successful.
All of my rabbits are raised indoors in a temperature-controlled environment and are not used to the extreme Minnesota cold, or summer heat so please take this into consideration if buying a bunny in the winter or summer months. I do not recommend they go outside.
Also, if for some reason down the road you are not able to keep your rabbit no matter how long it has been I will gladly take them back and would like the right of first refusal to ensure they either are able to find a proper new home, or continue to live here, however no refunds will be given. I ask that you please do not take them to a shelter or seek alternative placement yourself. They can always have a safe home here.
Thank you for your understanding!
